Fast-Foot® is an innovative fabric forming system designed to make concrete footing installation faster, easier, and more efficient. Manufactured by Fab-Form, Fast-Foot replaces traditional wood footing forms with a durable, flexible forming membrane that adapts to uneven excavations while helping keep concrete in place and ground moisture out.
Ideal for residential and commercial footings, Fast-Foot helps contractors reduce the labor, materials, and time typically associated with conventional footing forms. The flexible form eliminates much of the cutting, staking, assembling, and stripping required with lumber forms, while its membrane design can accommodate variations in excavation conditions and is particularly useful for stepped footings.
Key Benefits
- Faster installation — Simplifies footing forming and reduces on-site forming labor.
- Less lumber required — Minimizes the need for conventional plywood forms, lumber, stakes, and related forming materials.
- Adapts to uneven excavations — The flexible membrane conforms to changing ground conditions and footing configurations.
- Moisture protection — The damp-proof membrane helps prevent ground moisture from entering the concrete footing.
- Ideal for stepped footings — Flexible construction makes Fast-Foot well suited to varying footing elevations.
- Cleaner, more efficient jobsites — Less forming material means less handling, assembly, and stripping during construction.
- Supports efficient ICF construction — Fast-Foot can also be incorporated into ICF monopour applications, allowing footings and walls to be placed in a single pour when the project and design are appropriate.
Fast-Foot gives contractors a simpler way to form concrete footings—reducing traditional forming work while delivering a flexible, efficient solution for today's foundation projects.
Why the Fabric Bulge Is a Feature, Not a Flaw
Fastfoot's characteristic outward bulge isn't a defect — it's proof the system is working exactly as engineered. When concrete bears down on the fabric, all pressure resolves into pure tensile (hoop) stress along the weave. The fabric never bends, shears, or buckles the way plywood does; it simply pulls tight and holds. The bulge also increases the cross-sectional bearing area compared to a rectangular form of the same width.
