Applying E5 Shield to the surface of concrete maintains optimal moisture levels in concrete which can trigger adhesive failure. E5 Shield acts as a densifying agent, reducing porosity and enhancing the material’s resistance to moisture ingress.

E5® Shield acts as a densifying agent, reducing porosity and enhancing the material’s resistance to moisture ingress. In hospitals, this can contribute to safer environments by preventing the growth of mold and mildew, which thrive in damp conditions.

Designed with E5® Nano Silica, E5® Shield increases pozzolanic reactivity at the concretes surface to form permanent, insoluble bonds in Portland Cement Concrete (PCC).

Excess moisture in concrete poses a significant threat to floor coverings, leading to various damaging effects. For existing concrete, E5® Shield maintains optimal moisture levels in concrete which can trigger adhesive failure. Adhesives used to secure flooring materials depend on a stable substrate, and excess moisture can compromise their bonding capabilities, resulting in detachment and a weakened foundation for the floor covering.
