A gel acid will effectively etch concrete surfaces to create a concrete surface profile. Gel acid is also an effective iron remover that takes rust stains off concrete surfaces. A gel acid will not absorb into concrete surface and weaken concrete. A gel acid only reacts with the concrete surface and will not change PH level. Additional coats will add to the concrete surface roughness.
