Unlike iron oxide pigments, carbon black delivers 5-times the tint strength of other black pigments. Used to add color to concrete, stucco, plaster, mortar, grout, troweled toppings, self-levelers, counter-top mix and other cement-based materials. Color packs are sold in dissoluble containers that allow for easy dispensing into a ready-mix truck or a mixer on the job site.
Carbon black can fade if concrete is not sealed against water penetration. Sealing and periodic re-sealing can minimize this effect.
